Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Affirms State of Qatar's Keenness to Support Iraq

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani affirmed that the State of Qatar seeks to invest in projects in Iraq that provide job opportunities.
His Excellency said in the joint press conference held in Baghdad on Wednesday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Fuad Mohammed Hussein that the meetings he had with HE President of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Barham Salih and HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Mustafa Al Kadhimi were fruitful. His Excellency added that he conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the leadership and the brotherly Iraqi people.
His Excellency added that during his visit to Baghdad today, he discussed ways to develop and strengthen economic relations between the two countries and announced the agreement to reactivate economic cooperation between Qatar and Iraq.
HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his aspiration to expand the horizons of investment and economic cooperation with the sisterly Republic of Iraq and indicated that there is an opportunity to support the stability of Iraq by providing projects and creating job opportunities, pointing out that these projects will be of benefit to the two peoples and countries.
His Excellency stressed the existence of consensus in viewpoints regarding the regional situation, stressing that Iraq is an important factor in supporting the stability of the region due to its important pioneering role.
For his part, HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Fuad Mohammed Hussein said that Iraq is the State of Qatar's second country and that they will work to activate the agreements between the two countries.
