Qatar Committee for Reconstruction of Gaza Begins Disbursing Cash Assistance to Families in Need on Thursday

HE Chairman of the Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi affirmed that the Committee, in cooperation with the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), will begin the process of disbursing cash assistance to families in need in the Gaza Strip, next Thursday.

HE Ambassador Al Emadi stated that 100,000 families in the Gaza Strip will benefit from the cash assistance, at the rate of $100 per family.

He stressed that the distribution process will take place through the branches of the Postal Bank in the sector, as part of the preventive measures taken to confront the coronavirus outbreak, in order to preserve the safety of the beneficiaries and ensure their commitment to preventive measures, sterilization and social distancing.

His Excellency affirmed that the distribution process will be carried out under the full supervision of the Qatar Committee's staff and in cooperation with the concerned authorities, in a manner that ensure the highest standards of safety and security for the beneficiaries and workers in the distribution centers in light of the coronavirus outbreak.
