Qatar Fund for Development Signs Agreement to Train 6,220 Palestinian Children

The grant aims to support the activities of the Foundation in 2017 in areas such as health, hygiene, sports programs and awareness courses for children.
The grant agreement was signed by QFD Director General Khalifa bin Jassim Al Kuwari and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PACES foundation Hani Qattan.
In a statement today, QFD said that this program aims to enhance life skills for children through sports programs and educational activities. It also focuses on capacity-building of trainers, enhancing their skills and expanding their participation in their communities through various programs. The program also helps in improving the capacity of local partners by providing advanced courses on financial management and project management as well as by providing equal opportunities for both sexes in the sport program.
QFD Director General said that the Fund attaches great importance to help Palestinian children in Palestine and in neighboring countries and has continued to provide help to encourage participation and take advantage of training and development opportunities in all walks of life in general and in the field of health and hygiene in particular.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PACES foundation said that the partnership reflects the shared vision of the two parties and their commitment to improving the standards of living and well-being of the marginalized Palestinian communities, adding that PACES foundation is working hard to reach the greatest possible number of children and trainers in Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon.
