Qatar Welcomes the Announcement of the Formation of the New Syrian Government

The State of Qatar welcomes the announcement by His Excellency President Ahmad al-Shara, President of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, regarding the formation of the new government. Qatar expresses its best wishes for the government’s success in carrying out its duties and in reinforcing the foundations of a state of institutions, justice, and freedoms.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses Qatar's eagerness to cooperate with the new Syrian government to strengthen the relations between the two countries in various fields, aiming to serve the interests of both brotherly peoples. At the same time, Qatar reaffirms its full support for the new government in achieving the aspirations of the Syrian people for stability, development, and prosperity.
The Ministry also reiterates Qatar's full support for Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
