Qatar Strongly Condemns Targeting of Two LNG Vessels in Egypt's Port of Damietta

The State of Qatar strongly condemns the attack on two liquefied natural gas vessels at Damietta Port in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, considering it a direct threat to global energy supplies, a blatant violation of international law, and an irresponsible approach that undermines regional security and jeopardizes the resources of peoples.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms Qatar's unequivocal rejection of targeting vital facilities and emphasizes, in this context, the necessity of safeguarding the region from the repercussions of unjustified attacks. It underscores the importance of de-escalation efforts to restore security and stability both regionally and internationally.
The Ministry also reiterates the State of Qatar’s full solidarity with the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt and its support for all measures it takes to maintain its sovereignty and security.
