Doha – 26 May 2025

The State of Qatar strongly condemns the incursion of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli Minister of National Security, alongside other officials and settlers.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that the repeated attempts by the Israeli occupation to undermine the religious and historical status of Al-Aqsa Mosque constitute a provocation to over two billion Muslims around the world. In this context, the Ministry warns that the continued escalationist policies pursued by the occupation in the Palestinian territories, including the ongoing brutal campaign of genocide in the Gaza Strip, will inevitably lead to a widening cycle of violence and chaos in the region. These actions undermine efforts aimed at achieving a two-state solution and a just, comprehensive, and sustainable peace—necessitating urgent and effective intervention by the international community to compel the occupation to comply with international legitimacy and resolutions.

The Ministry reiterates Qatar’s firm and unwavering stance in support of the just cause of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, including the full right to freely practice their religious rituals and to establish an independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
