Doha - 24 March, 2025

The State of Qatar condemns, in the strongest terms, the Israeli occupation’s announcement to establish an agency targeting the displacement of Palestinian brothers from the Gaza Strip, as well as its approval of the separation of 13 illegal settlement neighbourhoods in the West Bank, paving the way for their legitimization as colonial settlements. In this regard, Qatar stresses that any form of Palestinian displacement constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. Furthermore, the expansion of settlements represents a blatant disregard for international legitimacy, particularly United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stresses the necessity for strong international solidarity to hold the occupation accountable for complying with the will for peace and to immediately end the brutal war on the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry reiterates the State of Qatar’s firm and unwavering position in supporting the Palestinian cause and the resilience of the Palestinian people, based on international legitimacy and the two-state solution, which ensures the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
