The State of Qatar condemns the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex by Israeli settlers and the raising of the Israeli flag in its courtyards, calling the incident a flagrant violation of international law.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that this act represented a provocation to Muslims worldwide and a breach of the religious and historical status of the holy site in the occupied East Jerusalem.

The Ministry affirms Qatar's categorical rejection of attempts to undermine the status of Al-Aqsa Mosque, stresses the need for the international community to uphold its moral and legal responsibilities towards Jerusalem and its holy sites and to firmly confront the repeated Israeli violations.

It reiterates Qatar's unwavering position on the just cause of Palestine and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their full right to practice their religious rites without restrictions and to establish their independent state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
