Qatar closely follows the developments in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and calls for resolving differences through peaceful means

The State of Qatar is deeply concerned about the developments in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, including the recent attack by demonstrators on several embassies, and calls on all parties to exercise restraint, avoid further escalation, listen to the voice of reason, and resolve differences through dialogue and peaceful means.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes the importance of providing full protection to diplomatic missions and their personnel, in accordance with the fundamental principles of international agreements and diplomatic norms. The Ministry also reaffirms Qatar's full support for all regional and international efforts aimed at restoring security and stability in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Ministry expresses the State of Qatar's deep sorrow over the deaths and injuries of members of the United Nations Mission in the Congo. It extends condolences to the families of the victims and to the governments of the Republic of South Africa and the Republic of Uruguay, and wishes a swift recovery to those injured.
