Qatar, along with 9 countries, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, condemn the Knesset's approval of the declaration calling for the imposition of the so-called "Israeli sovereignty" over the occupied West Bank.

Doha - July 24, 2025
The State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Indonesia, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the State of Palestine, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the League of Arab States, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemn the Israeli Knesset's approval of the declaration calling for the imposition of so-called "Israeli sovereignty" over the occupied West Bank.
They consider it a blatant and unacceptable violation of international law and a flagrant breach of relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolutions 242 (1967), 338 (1973), and 2334 (2016), all of which affirm the nullity of all measures and decisions aimed at legitimizing the occupation, including settlement activities in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967.
The above-mentioned parties reaffirm that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territory. They emphasize that this Israeli unilateral move has no legal effect and cannot alter the legal status of the occupied Palestinian land, including East Jerusalem, which remains an integral part of that land. Furthermore, they stress that such Israeli measures will only serve to exacerbate the escalating tensions in the region, which have been aggravated by the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian catastrophe it has caused in the enclave.
These parties call upon the international community, including the Security Council and all relevant stakeholders, to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities and to take urgent action to halt the illegal Israeli policies aimed at imposing a de facto reality by force, undermining the prospects for achieving a just and lasting peace, and eliminating the possibility of the two-state solution.
