The State of Qatar expressed Wednesday its deep concern regarding the continued fighting between Libyan parties, particularly the latest attacks on Tripoli that caused an increase in the number of casualties, displacements, as well as damages to important public facilities at time when Libya is in desperate need of its youth and assets as attempts to transition towards a state of law.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani participated Wednesday in the meeting hosted by HE U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, on the sidelines of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, which included foreign ministers of Qatar, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and UAE.

The State of Qatar has affirmed its rejection of all forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance whether taken at the national level or within the framework of international policies, they are considered a serious violation of all human rights and fundamental freedoms.
