HE Director of Human Rights Department Dr. Turki bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud participated in a panel discussion on international cooperation efforts to guarantee the right to education. The panel discussion took place on the sidelines of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebration of Arab Human Rights Day. The ministry held the celebration in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Arab League, with participation from UNESCO, UN Human Rights Training and Documentation Centre.

The State of Qatar marked the Arab Human Rights Day, which falls on March 16 of each year under the theme "the right to quality education," with an event co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Arab League, the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, and the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States.
