HE Director of State Protocol at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania Entela Gjika received a copy of the credentials of HE Jabor bin Ali Al Dosari, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Albania.

HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government of the Republic of Lebanon Dr. Abdallah Bou Habib met on Thursday with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Lebanon Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

The State of Qatar won membership in the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for the period 2023-2027 after receiving the highest percentage of votes in the Arab group during the elections that took place for the Board, on the sidelines of the Organizations 42nd session of the General Conference currently held in Paris from Nov. 7-22.

HE President of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Dennis Francis met with HE the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, HE the Permanent Representative of Libya as Chairman of the Arab League Group, and HE the Permanent Representative of Mauritania as Chairman of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Group.

The Third Committee of the UN General Assembly adopted, by consensus, the resolution on preparations for the 20th anniversary of the International Year of the Family (IYF), which the State of Qatar has been submitting since 2004 on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, coinciding with the State of Qatar's presidency of the Group of 77 and China in 2004.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari said that the crime of the Israeli occupation's bombing of the headquarters of the Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza (QCRG) must not go unnoticed, pointing that the State of Qatar looks forward to the solidarity of the international community in condemning this crime and the symbolism it represents in the context of repeated Israeli crimes.

HE Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Becirovic, met with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bosnia and Herzegovina Meshal bin Ali Al Attiyah.
