The State of Qatar has submitted to the International Maritime Organization, the original document for the accession of the State of Qatar to the 1988 Protocol to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974 (SOLAS), in preparation for the entry into force of the agreement for the State of Qatar.
This came during a meeting of HE Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization Kitack Lim with Acting Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the United Kingdom Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jaber.
The meeting discussed relations between the State of Qatar and the International Maritime Organization and ways to boost them.
For his part, Al-Jaber affirmed the State of Qatars commitment to international agreements and treaties and its commitment to the safety and security of maritime navigation.
