Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Diplomatic Institute, organized an interactive meeting with an Italian student delegation currently visiting the country.

HE Director of the Diplomatic Institute Dr Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Horr welcomed the visiting Italian delegation and expressed his hope that the visit would be useful to learn about the development achieved by the State of Qatar.

During the meeting, Secretary-General of Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science Dr Hamda Al Sulaiti touched on the efforts of the State of Qatar to support education and culture in the world through programs implemented in cooperation and partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

For his part, HE Director of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tariq Ali Faraj Al Ansari gave a presentation on Qatar's development policy in bilateral and multilateral global partnerships, Qatar's relief and development assistance and direct support to nearly 140 countries over the past five years.

Al Ansari touched on the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the strategies and plans to achieve them internally and externally as they are in line with the United Nations Vision 2030.

He pointed to the State of Qatar's interest in supporting programs of health, education and economic empowerment, and the importance of cultural exchange for its role in raising awareness and tolerance and narrowing the scope of violence and terrorism, which embodies preventive diplomacy.
