The State of Qatar will host, during the period 5 to 10 July, the delegation of the UN Alliance of Civilizations' (UNAOC) Fellowship, as part pf the fellowship 2019 programme which comes under the theme "The Role of Women in Peacemaking and Conflict Prevention".

The 2019 UNAOC Fellowship delegation is visiting the State of Qatar, in coordination with the Qatar Committee for the Alliance of Civilization (QCAC), aiming to learn about the Qatar's history and historical and cultural landmarks; achieve closer cooperation between races, religions and cultures; and establish bases of solidarity and exchange of experiences and benefits among peoples on the basis of the values of right, justice and equality.

Qatar Committee for the Alliance of Civilization was established in 2010 by a Cabinet decision. The Committee seeks to advance the objectives of the Alliance of Civilizations as a soft power tool of preventive diplomacy through cooperation with all actors at the regional and international levels.

QCAC works to strengthen the role of the State of Qatar in highlighting the contribution of Islamic civilization, along with other civilizations, to human progress and its role in promoting dialogue, resolving conflicts and disputes and emphasizing the values of tolerance, solidarity and peace among peoples.
