Ambassador Al Emadi Opens Grand Nuseirat Mosque in Gaza Strip

HE Chairman of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi inaugurated Wednesday the Grand Nuseirat Mosque in central Gaza Strip.

The inauguration of the recently reconstructed mosque is part of the projects of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani's grant for the reconstruction of Gaza.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by officials of Palestinian ministries and representatives of various local institutions.

HE Ambassador Al Emadi praised the Palestinian contributions to the implementation of tens of Qatari projects in Gaza Strip, noting that the National Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza has implemented huge strategic projects through several grants worth more than half a billion dollars, at the forefront was the grant made by HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani which worth 407 million dollars.

At the end of his speech, HE Ambassador Al Emadi announced the completion of the construction work of the Grand Nuseirat Mosque at a total cost of nearly one million dollars, noting that the area of the mosque exceeds 900 square meters and can accommodate about 2500 worshipers.

For his part, Head of the Preaching and Guidance Department at the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs Dr. Yousef Farahat hailed the Qatari role in all humanitarian and relief areas in Gaza Strip, and the efforts of the State of Qatar and the National Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza to re-construct and finish the Grand Nuseirat Mosque and make it an architectural masterpiece.

On behalf of the mosque reconstruction committee, Farahat extended thanks and gratitude to HE Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi and the Qatari Committee for their efforts, noting that the project was not limited to the reconstruction of the mosque but also contributed to the employment of more than 12 workers and the support of their families during the project's construction, which lasted nearly a year.

On the other hand, Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf Dr. Hassan Al Saifi extended thanks and appreciation to the State of Qatar for all the efforts it has been exerting to provide all forms of support to the Palestinian people in general and to the people of the Gaza Strip in particular.

Al Saifi commended the quality of work in the Qatari projects implemented in Gaza Strip, extending special thanks to HE Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi for his tireless efforts to oversee the implementation of dozens of vital projects and services in Gaza Strip.
