Qatar's Ambassador to China Stresses Importance of Dialogue in Resolving Political Disputes

HE Qatar's Ambassador to China Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri stressed the importance of giving priority to the dialogue, consultation and diplomatic solutions instead of the language of threat and war in resolving political disputes.

HE the Qatari Ambassador stressed the need to strengthen international cooperation to combat terrorism and to promote regional peace and security, saying that without peace and stability there will be no development.

The Ambassador noted that the State of Qatar was one of the first countries to sign anti-terrorism agreements with the United Nations, and has contributed in solving disputed in different parts of the world.

Addressing the 4th Peace Garden Festival in Beijing, HE the Qatari Ambassador said that the Festival comes at a time when the need for peace is evident, as many conflicts and tensions have spread in many parts in the world.

Ambassador Al Mansouri described China's Belt and Road initiative as an important sign of people's desire for coexistence, building a common destiny for mankind and building a peaceful world in which everyone shares the fruits of development and peace gains.

HE the Qatari Ambassador underlined the need to strengthen the role and authority of the United Nations and to respect its charters.

The Peace Garden Festival which is held annually in China is organized by China World Peace Foundation, in implementation of United Nations General Assembly Resolution No. 282/55, which declared September 21 each year the International Day of Peace.
