Qatar Participates in Number of Meetings in United Nations

New York/ Information Office/ 26 September 2017/ The State of Qatar participated in a number of meetings held on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The State of Qatar participated in the consultative meeting of the Arab League Council which was held at the level of Foreign Ministers of the Arab League's Member States. The latest developments in Libya and file of the Palestinian issue were discussed during the meeting.
On the Rohingya Muslims issue, the State of Qatar participated in the meeting held by the Contact Group of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the Rohingya Muslims.
At a meeting entitled "Cooperation in security and development in la Francophonie", the State of Qatar participated in the consultative meeting of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the International Organization of Member States of La Francophonie.
The State of Qatar also participated in the meeting called for by Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May to end forced labor, modern slavery and human trafficking. The meeting was attended by 30 heads of state including the President of France Emmanuel Macron.
HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi represented the State of Qatar in the meeting.
