HH the Emir Meets President of UN General Assembly
At the beginning of the meeting, HH the Emir congratulated HE Mr. Miroslav on his assumption of the Presidency of the UN General Assembly for the current session, and wished him success in his duties.
Discussions during the meeting dealt with the main regional and international developments, in addition to a number of issues of common interest, especially on the agenda of the 72nd Session.
For his part, HE the President of the UN General Assembly expressed his thanks and appreciation to HH the Emir for the support provided by the State of Qatar for humanitarian and relief projects around the world, and its support for education and development projects in poor countries.
The meeting was attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.
It was also attended by a number of senior officials at the Office of the President of the United Nations General Assembly.
