NATO Secretary General Receives Credentials of Qatar's Ambassador

Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg has received the credentials of HE Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Khulaifi as Head of Mission of the State of Qatar and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to NATO.

During the meeting, HE Ambassador Al-Khulaifi conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani to the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), wishing him good health , progress and prosperity.

For his part, the NATO Secretary General entrusted HE the Ambassador to convey his greetings to HH the Emir and his wishes for the Qatari people of further progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, HE Ambassador Al-Khulaifi praised the level of relations between the State of Qatar and NATO, which come within the framework of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, the Partnership Agreement and the Cooperation between the two sides in order to maintain security and stability in the Middle East and all over the world. He also referred to several important NATO's meetings and conferences hosted by the State of Qatar.

For his part, the Secretary-General of NATO lauded the role played by the State of Qatar and its effective presence at all levels, especially the effective role it plays through the International Coalition Against Terrorism. He wished HE the Ambassador success in his new tasks and work to strengthen relations between the State of Qatar and NATO.
