Diplomatic Institute Concludes Traditional and Parliamentary Diplomacy Workshop

Doha/ Information Office/ 04  January 2017/  The Foreign Ministry's Diplomatic Institute concluded on Wednesday a workshop on the theory and application of traditional diplomacy and parliamentary diplomacy, which it organized in cooperation with the Advisory Council over three days with the participation of 16 employees from the GCC legislative councils.

HE Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry, Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, said in his speech that the workshop worked on developing and refining the abilities of the employees of Gulf legislative councils, noting that the ministry intends to organize more workshops in the future in order to support the employees of GCC parliaments.

On the other hand, HE Secretary General of the Advisory Council, Fahad bin Mubarak Al Khayareen, confirmed the importance of the workshop being organized in cooperation with the Qatari Advisory Council and attended by employees and representatives of the GCC parliaments.

He also commended the efforts of the Diplomatic Institute in organizing the workshop and thanked HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi and HE Al Hammadi for their ongoing support for such workshops and their belief in the importance of developing and training personnel.
