Governmental Committee for Coordinating Conferences and Events Holds First Meeting
Doha/Information Office/15 November 2016/ The Governmental Committee for Coordinating Conferences and Events has held its first meeting, following Cabinet decision No. (18) of 2016 amending some provisions of decision No. (34) of 2015 on the organization of the committee.
The meeting was chaired by HE Advisor to the Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Governmental Committee for Coordinating Conferences Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and HE Executive Director of the Standing Committee for Organizing Conferences and Deputy Chairman of the Governmental Committee Ambassador Abdullah Abdulrahman Fakhro, in the presence of representatives of the Ministries of Interior, Economy and Commerce, Finance, Health, Culture and Sports, and Energy and Industry; Qatar Foundation of Education, Science and Community Development, Qatar Tourism Authority, Qatar Olympic Committee, Katara Hospitality, and Qatar Airways.
Talks during the meeting covered topics related to conferences and events that will be held during the year, and the coordination between organizers from the public and private sectors and the Governmental Committee regarding the schedule.
