Joint Commission of Qatar and Turkmenistan Meets in Doha

Doha/ Information Office/ 03 November 2016/ The joint commission between Qatar and Turkmenistan on Thursday held in Doha its second meeting under the presidency of HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Turkmenistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rasit Meredow.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries on all fronts, particularly in the fields of trade and investment and means of boosting and developing them so as to serve the mutual interests of the two countries.

HE the foreign minister stressed that Qatar and Turkmenistan enjoy distinguished and cordial ties characterized by stability and based on understanding, mutual respect and keenness on developing them. He noted that the meeting reflects the ambitions and directives of the senior leaderships in both countries.

For his part, the Turkmen official reiterated his government's keenness on developing ties with Qatar on all fronts.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides signed the joint minutes of commission.
