HE Foreign Minister Opens Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies
Doha/Information Office/02 November 2016/ HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Wednesday opened the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies at Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, in the presence of Stephen O'Brien, the U.N. under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief.
Speaking to QNA, HE the foreign minister expressed his confidence in what the center offers in service of Qatar and the region in the field of conflict settlement and humanitarian work.
"Launching such an international center in Doha will not only serve Qatar but also countries of the region that needs exchange of expertise, peaceful capacity building, humanitarian work and reconstruction," HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani told QNA.
A number of accredited ambassadors to the country attended the opening along with a group of academics and representatives of humanitarian organizations and entities.
