HH the Emir, Venezuelan President Witness Signing of Agreements
Caracas/Information Office/ 25 November 2015/ HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro witnessed at the presidential palace in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding. An agreement on exempting diplomatic and special passports from entry visa was signed between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. A cooperation agreement in the legal field was signed, stipulating the exchange of expertise in the work sphere of the Ministry of Justice in both countries. Another cooperation agreement was signed in the field of air services. A memorandum of understanding on sports and youth cooperation was signed, stipulating cooperation in sports activities, participation in workshops, the exchange of coaches and sports specialists, and cooperation in sports media. HH the Emir and the Venezuelan president also witnessed the signing of a mutual administrative help agreement to properly implement the customs law between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. They witnessed the signing of an understanding agreement between Qatar Central Bank and the Central Bank of Venezuela that aims to exchange information on the stability and development of the financial system between the two countries. Additionally, they witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Venezuelan Federation of Chambers of Commerce with the aim of working to develop trade exchange and economic cooperation between companies as well as establishing joint business councils. A fraternity and twinning agreement was signed as well between the Doha Municipality and the Libertador Bolivarian Municipality in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
