Qatar's Embassy in Islamabad Celebrates National Day

Islamabad /Information Office/ 22 December 2014/ Khalefa Thani Mohamad Alzara, charge d'Affaires of Qatar's Embassy in Pakistan, held a reception to mark the National Day at Islamabad Serena Hotel on Monday. The ceremony was attended by Pakistani Minister of Oil and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, along with a number of ministers and members of the National Assembly and the Senate, a number of Foreign Ministry's departments' directors, senior politicians and civil society members as well as the GCC ambassadors and Arab and foreign ambassadors accredited to Pakistan. The event's participants wished the State of Qatar and its people further progress and prosperity under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, praising the progress and development taking place in the State of Qatar and its wise policy that made it an economic attraction and an important axis of political consultation at regional and international levels as well as turned it into an important location for international and regional conferences and key sporting events. The ceremony presented a number of cultural and media programs on the Qatar's heritage and its social and cultural life, in addition to a film on the national parade. It also included a special pavilion for publications which highlighted various aspects of Qatar's growth and achievements.
