HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met on Sunday with HE Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany Tobias Lindner, who is visiting the country.

During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for consolidating the regional and international efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire and the permanent opening of the Rafah crossing to ensure the flow of relief convoys and humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian brethren besieged in the Gaza Strip, expressing the State of Qatar's profound concern about the catastrophic deterioration of the humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.

His Excellency also stressed that the ongoing shelling doubles the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip and complicates the exerted efforts.

In turn, HE the Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany expressed Germany's appreciation for the continued Qatari mediation to release the hostages. His Excellency also thanked the State of Qatar for its constant efforts to evacuate the citizens of the Federal Republic of Germany.
