Advisor to Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari met on Monday with a delegation of the UK Parliament, headed by HE Member of the Parliament and chair of the Qatar all-party parliamentary group (APPG) Alun Cairns, who is visiting Doha.
The meeting dealt with bilateral cooperation relations, especially in the economic field, as well as the developments in Sudan, Syria and Afghanistan.
Members of the UK parliamentary delegation praised the pivotal role of the State of Qatar in providing energy supplies in light of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, and lauded the efforts of the State of Qatar in hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. They also extended thanks to the State of Qatar for its effective contribution to the evacuations of the UK citizens from Afghanistan.
