Chairman of Qatar's Gaza Reconstruction Committee Meets Director of UNRWA Affairs in Gaza Strip

HE Chairman of Qatar's Gaza Reconstruction Committee Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi, met on Sunday with the Director of UNRWA Affairs in Gaza Strip Thomas White, at the headquarters of the Qatari Committee in Gaza.
HE Ambassador Al Emadi discussed with White the developments in the field and humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territories, stressing the continuation of the efforts of the State of Qatar to calm the situation and its stand by the Palestinian people with various types of support.
His Excellency reviewed the efforts of the State of Qatar to achieve calm in the region and attempts to ease the current wave of tension, explaining the practical steps that Qatar is taking to control the situation in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, and the contacts that Qatar is making with all parties to move the outstanding issues and provide the necessary support to the Palestinians, especially in Gaza Strip.
HE Ambassador Al Emadi thanked White for the efforts made by UNRWA to provide the necessary support to the residents of the Gaza Strip, recommending the need to urge the international community to continue its support for the United Nations institutions operating in the Gaza Strip to alleviate the humanitarian crisis experienced by the residents of Gaza.
For his part, Thomas White appreciated the efforts of the State of Qatar and its continuous support for UNRWA, especially in light of the financial crisis that the agency is experiencing during the current period, stressing the importance of continuous communication and coordination for the continuation of projects to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people living in very difficult conditions.
