Assistant Foreign Minister Meets Afghan Minister of Health

HE Assistant Foreign Minister Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met Tuesday with HE Minister for Public Health of the Afghanistan Caretaker Government Qalandar Ebad, who is visiting the country.
During the meeting, they discussed progress in the plan to develop the health field in Afghanistan, in addition to the results of the round table meeting, which was hosted by the State of Qatar, between a delegation from Afghanistan and two delegations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF).
HE Assistant Foreign Minister stressed the State of Qatar's position in supporting the Afghan people, especially in the health and education sectors.
Her Excellency commended the efforts made by the Afghan Ministry of Public Health despite the scarcity of resources, stressing the importance of the international community's continued support for the health sector in Afghanistan, as well as strengthening the infrastructure that most Afghan cities lack.
Her Excellency also praised the continued work of Afghan women in the health sector, calling for the continuation of developing the human capacities of the health sector in Afghanistan.
