HE Director of the Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Turki bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud participated in a research symposium held by the College of Law at Qatar University under the title "One year after its outbreak... legal developments of the Russian-Ukrainian war." The symposium touched on several topics including the position of the State of Qatar on the conflict and the position of international humanitarian law and international human rights law on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
HE Dr. Turki bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud affirmed the position of the State of Qatar calling for respecting the Charter of the United Nations, not resorting to force, and sitting at the negotiating table as the best way to resolve any dispute between countries.
