Qatar Leads Unofficial Consultations to Formulate Political Declaration for Adoption at SDG Summit

HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya bint Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, along with HE Permanent Representative of Ireland to the United Nations Fergal Mythen, as co-facilitators, led the unofficial consultations on formulating the political declaration that will be adopted during the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit, set to be held in September 2023.
HE Sheikha Alya bint Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani pointed out that the political declaration to be adopted during the summit would be a consensual, concise, action-oriented, transformational, and ambitious document, reaffirming once again the commitment to an equitable, sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous world by 2030.
