HE Chairman of Qatar's Gaza Reconstruction Committee Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi met on Thursday with Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wensland in Gaza.
HE Ambassador Al Emadi discussed with the special coordinator the developments in the field and humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territories, stressing the continuation of the efforts of the State of Qatar to calm the situation and stand by the Palestinian people with various types of support.
The two parties discussed means of joint cooperation between the two sides to try to avoid the deterioration of the field situation and mechanisms of pressure on the Israeli side to immediately stop the increasing violations against the Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. They also discussed joint efforts to improve the living conditions of the Palestinians, especially in the Gaza Strip.
HE Ambassador Al Emadi thanked the Special Coordinator for his visit and continuous follow-up of the Palestinian file, appreciating the role of the United Nations in working to achieve calm and communication with all parties to consolidate security and peace in the region.
His Excellency reviewed the efforts of the State of Qatar to support the Palestinian people, and its practical steps to alleviate the suffering of the residents of the Gaza Strip, and the contacts that His Excellency is making with all parties to provide basic assistance to the residents of Gaza.
