His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khulaifi, Assistant Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs, met in Washington today with,  Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Molly Phee, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Yael Lempert, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs with responsibility for the Levant Ethan Goldrich, US Special Envoy for Yemen Timothy Lenderking,  US Special Envoy to Libya Richard Norland, US Special Envoy for Palestinian Affairs Hady Amr and US Special Envoy to Iran Robert Malley.

During the meetings, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern. They also highlighted the outcomes of the fifth Qatari-American strategic dialogue, and the strong, longstanding relations between the two countries.
