Assistant Foreign Minister Partakes in Round Table with NATO Countries' Ambassadors

HE Assistant Foreign Minister Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater participated in Brussels in a round table chaired by HE Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Germany to NATO Ambassador Rudiger Konig, in the presence of Their Excellencies, the ambassadors of NATO member states.
The round table touched upon the relations of cooperation between the State of Qatar and NATO, the role of women in the security field, and global challenges, including food and energy security. It discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan, ways to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, and Qatar's commitment to providing humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people. It also reviewed the developments of the nuclear agreement with Iran.
In this context, HE Assistant Foreign Minister met with HE NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Security Policy and NATO Secretary-General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and NATO, the State of Qatar's preparations to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, the latest developments in Afghanistan, and the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.
Colomina thanked the State of Qatar for its support to NATO in various files.
HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the European Union and NATO Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki and Qatar's Defense Attache to NATO Staff Brigadier (Air) Ali Abdulaziz Al Mohannadi attended the meeting and the round table.
