Assistant Foreign Minister Meets Ambassador for Human Rights of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs

HE Assistant Foreign Minister Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, met today with HE Ambassador for Human Rights at the Foreign Ministry of the Kingdom of Netherlands Dr. Bahia Tahzib-Lie, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries were reviewed, issues of women's empowerment were discussed, and the importance of their right to education was emphasized, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.
During the meeting, HE Ambassador for Human Rights at the Foreign Ministry of the Kingdom of Netherlands expressed her thanks and gratitude for the efforts of the State of Qatar in providing aid and facilitating its access to Afghanistan, and for its great efforts to develop the workers' rights situation in the facilities of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and hoped that these efforts would continue.
Her Excellency expressed her country's desire to strengthen its relations with the State of Qatar and coordinate common positions in international forums, stressing the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education in general, women's education and combating poverty in Afghanistan in particular.
Her Excellency noted that her country sensed Qatar's continuous desire to develop the role of women in various fields.
For her part, HE Assistant Foreign Minister stressed the desire of the State of Qatar and its continuation to develop its legislation that seeks to promote human rights and workers.
