HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met separately on Sunday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Felix Ramon Plasencia; HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya Raychelle Omamo; HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Saifuddin Abdullah; HE First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova; HE Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism Vladimir Voronkov; HE former US Ambassador to the United Nations Kelly Craft; HE Executive Director of the United Nations Development Program Achim Steiner; and HE the US Special Envoy for Afghanistan Thomas West, on the sidelines of Doha Forum 2022.
His Excellency also met with HE Executive Director of UNICEF Catherine Russell; HE Chair of the Board of the Elders, former President of Ireland and former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson; HE Chairman of the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations of the Iranian Republic Dr. Kamal Kharrazi; HE President of the International Economic Forum Borge Brende; a delegation of intellectuals headed by former US Congress member Jane Harman; a delegation from the Global Advisory Council of the Wilson Center headed by Mark Green; and HE former Secretary of State for International Development in the United Kingdom Rory Stewart, on the sidelines of the Forum.
The meetings reviewed aspects of the bilateral cooperation, in addition to issues of common interest.
The 20th edition of Doha Forum kicked off Saturday under the theme "Transforming for a New Era" with the aim of launching dialogue and debate on the critical challenges facing the world, promoting the exchange of ideas, policy-making, and providing applicable recommendations. The Forum concludes today.
