HE Assistant Foreign Minister Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met today with a delegation from the Italy's Senate of the Republic, currently visiting Qatar.

During the meeting, the bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries were reviewed, as well as means of developing them.

The meeting discussed also the latest developments of the Ukrainian crisis and the situation in Afghanistan.

The two sides affirmed, during the meeting, the importance of the joint cooperation in delivering humanitarian aids to Ukrainian and Afghan peoples, and the need to resolve differences through constructive dialogue and diplomatic means, as well as settlement of international disputes by peaceful means.

HE Assistant Foreign Minister appreciated the close cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Italy in various fields, expressing the State of Qatar's hope to strengthen relations between the two countries.
