Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets UN Secretary-General

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met today in New York with HE Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest international development, the current crisis in Ukraine, and the latest regional development including the current situations in Palestine, Yemen, Afghanistan and Libya.
The two sides also discussed the State of Qatar's efforts in peace and development fields, as well as its multiple partnerships with UN institutions and bodies.
HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated in the meeting Qatar's commitment to create an environment of peace, stability and development through mediation initiatives and constructive dialogue.
His Excellency affirmed Qatar's commitments to supporting UN efforts through initiatives maintaining international security and peace, supporting international development efforts, enhancing and consolidating human rights, providing humanitarian aid, and participating in the collective efforts and initiatives aiming at addressing current and emerging challenges facing the region.
