Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Holds Phone Call with UN Secretary-General

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani held on Friday a phone call with HE Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres.

During the call, they discussed the latest developments in Yemen, Afghanistan, and Libya, the regional developments, and the efforts of the State of Qatar in the peace and development fields, in addition to its multiple partnerships with UN institutions and bodies.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's keenness to create a climate of peace, stability, and development through mediation initiatives and constructive dialogue.

Also, HE the Foreign Minister affirmed the State of Qatar's commitment to supporting the UN efforts through initiatives to maintain international peace and security, support international development efforts, promote and consolidate human rights, provide humanitarian assistance, and participate in collective efforts and initiatives aimed at addressing current and emerging challenges facing the region.
