Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets UN Special Coordinator for Middle East Peace Process

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, met on Thursday with HE UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, during his current visit to the country.

During the meeting, they reviewed developments of the situations in Palestine and the mechanism for delivering aid to the Palestinian people. They also discussed how to develop the joints efforts between the State of Qatar and the United Nation in this regard.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated, during the meeting, Qatar's firm stance on the just cause of Palestine and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, including exercising their religious rights and establishing their independent state on the 1967 borders with Al-Quds as its capital.

For his part, HE Tor Wennesland renewed his thanks to the State of Qatar for its efforts that contributed to reaching the ceasefire agreement in Gaza Strip.
