Urgent Medical Aid Shipment Arrives in Belarus

A cargo plane carrying urgent medical assistance arrived in the Republic of Belarus on Thursday. The urgent medical assistance is provided by the State of Qatar and is an implementation of the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to support of the efforts of the friendly Republic of Belarus to cope with the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The shipment, which is provided through Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), weighs seven tons and contains medical equipment and supplies.

The medical aid shipment was received from the Belarusian side by HE Deputy Minister of Health Boris Androsyuk; Director of the Department of Africa and the Middle East at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Koltsov; head of the National Center for Medical Response Edward Falchuk; Acting Chare d'Affaires at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Belarus Meshal bin Ali Al Attiyah; and First Secretary at the Embassy Abdulaziz bin Saad Al Kuwari.

On this occasion, Meshal bin Ali Al Attiyah said in statements to local media that Belarus is a friendly country and it is very natural for the State of Qatar to extend support in such difficult times that the whole world is going through in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
