Competences of the Committee

To advise the State on issues related to the United Nations Convention of the Law of the Sea
To conduct studies and field research, technical and legal provision in accordance to the convention
Review and study the legislation of the State relating to the provisions of the convention
Propose draft legislative tools and other means required by the effective implementation of the rights and obligations of the State under the provision of the State
To participate through delegations representing the State in conferences and workshops under the United Nations convention and other relevant committees
