The State of Qatar strongly condemns the storming and vandalism of the headquarters of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Republic of Sudan, its attaché offices, the housing and property of Saudi embassy staff, the headquarters of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the residence of its ambassador in Khartoum. It also stresses the need to provide protection for diplomatic missions and to prosecute the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the position of the State of Qatar calling for an immediate halt to the fighting in Sudan, the exercise of maximum restraint, resorting to the voice of reason, giving priority to the public interest, and sparing civilians the consequences of the fighting. The Ministry also expresses the aspiration of the State of Qatar that all parties pursue dialogue and peaceful ways to overcome differences.
