Qatar Participates in Arab Foreign Ministers Preparatory Meeting for 30th Arab Summit

 The preparatory meeting of the Arab foreign ministers for the 30th Arab Summit, which will be held on Sunday, started at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunis.

The State of Qatar participates in the meeting with a delegation headed by HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

The meeting witnessed the accession of Tunisia to the presidency of the 30th Arab Summit. It also discussed the draft agenda of the summit, which will be presented to the Arab leaders during their meeting on Sunday as well as the draft Tunisia Declaration to be issued by the summit.

The work program of the meeting includes the draft resolutions prepared by the permanent delegates and senior officials on Wednesday and the draft resolutions of the economic and social council at the ministerial level preparatory to the summit held on Thursday.

The meeting will discuss about 21 items, headed by the follow-up to the political developments of the Palestinian issue, the Arab-Israeli conflict, the Israeli violations in the occupied city of Jerusalem, the follow-up of the settlements developments, the UNRWA, the support of the budget of the State of Palestine, the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, the occupied Syrian Arab Golan, and the solidarity with Lebanon and its support, as well as the crisis in Syria and developments in the situation in Libya and Yemen.

Furthermore, the agenda includes proposals on the synchronization of the Arab regular and economic summits, the Arab strategy for human rights, support for internally displaced persons in Arab countries, the maintenance of Arab national security and combating terrorism, the development of the Arab system to combat terrorism and the development of the Arab League.
