Qatar Participates at Permanent Representatives of Arab League Meeting

Cairo/Information Office/ 05 March 2017/ The Arab League meeting at the level of permanent representatives in its 147th session started Sunday under Algeria's presidency at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat, to prepare for the Arab Foreign Ministers meeting scheduled on Tuesday.
HE Qatar's Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Saif bin Muqaddam Al Buainain headed the Qatari delegation to the meeting.
The meeting agenda covers 28 topics discussing the report of the Arab League Secretary General on the activities and procedures of implementing the decisions taken by the league in the 146th and 147th sessions.
The meeting discusses the developments of the Palestinian cause, the Arab-Israeli conflict, following up on the latest Israeli violations towards Jerusalem, developments of the Israeli settlements, Israeli West Bank barier, uprising, refugees and the UNRWA. In addition the meeting will discuss supporting the Palestinian budget, the recommendations made by supervisors of Palestinian Affairs in its 97th session, the report on the boycotting of Israel from the head and regional offices of the 146th and 147th sessions, the Arab water security issue with Israel taking over Palestine's water resources, occupied Golan, supporting Lebanon and opposing Israel's candidacy to a non permanent UN Security Council seat for 2019/2020.
The meeting will also review the agenda for the Arab League summit in its 28th regular session, the situation in Syria, Libya, Yemen, the dangers on the Arab national security and international peace due to arming Israel, and the ways to strengthen the Arab League.
