Qatar Condemns Attacks on Mosque and Village in Iraq

The State of Qatar strongly condemned the two attacks on a mosque in the south of Al-Shirqat district and a village in western Anbar in Iraq, which killed a worshiper and wounded six others in the mosque, and killed two people in the village.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement stressed Qatar's total rejection of targeting places of worship and intimidating civilians.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and the government and people of Iraq, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
