Qatar Participates in Emergency Meeting of Arab Foreign Ministers on the Situation in Palestine

The emergency meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers, chaired by Iraq, began today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States to discuss ways to confront the illegal US decision on Israeli settlements, at the request of the State of Palestine and supported by a number of Arab countries.

The State of Qatar will participate in the meeting with a delegation headed by HE Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi.

The meeting aims at reaching a collective and coordinated Arab position to confront the recent American step and exert more political and diplomatic pressure on the international arena to defend the Palestinian right by affirming Palestinian rights at the international level.

The meeting will also discuss an Arab plan of action to support the Palestinian cause, at all levels politically, media and legal to address the U.S. position and reverse its repercussions in the world.
