HE US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo expressed his country's thanks to Qatar for its partnership and cooperation in a variety of issues.

Pompeo said in a statement following his meeting with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani that they discussed the importance of a unified Gulf Cooperation Council to address regional instability and other bilateral and regional issues, including recent developments in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs met his US counterpart on Tuesday night in Washington.
